Generally benign weather is in store for this week. High pressure is located in the mid levels and this will keep the weather sunny and warm to hot for the most part of this week. A short wave may move through the area midweek and give a slight chance for precipitation. However, short waves are spatially small, and they have to be directly overhead to generate any precipitation. With the Gulf of Mexico waters still relatively cool the coastal area will reach the mid 80s for highs. Everywhere else should top out upper 80s and a few locations hit the lower 90s. Lows will range from the mid 70s at the coast and gradually decline inland to around 70 at the I-10 corridor to upper 60s up in Montgomery County.
For perspective, temperatures are at the average temperature for this time of year.
